About Car Craft
Following the success of the founder Nige Dunford, who had been working in the industry since 1991, Car Craft Engineering Ltd was launched in 2002 with a view to expanding both the team and business offering.
We are proud to have a 5* rating with the Good Garage Scheme, along with a 99.3% recommendation level. Car Craft Engineering is also an accredited repairer with the RAC Network.
2020 has seen huge investment in the business site, including an extension to workspace and a new customer waiting room and office. We have a workshop with two full ramps, a separate covered area for any minor paintwork, and customer parking is available.
Nige Dunford
Nige, as well as being the founder of CCE, is also its Head Mechanic. With over 40 years' experience in the motor trade, Nige is able to offer great advice and a tailored service for every customer.
Customer feedback often highlights the time Nige takes to explain the work that has been done and information given on best practice.
Nige has a passion for hot rods and custom vehicles and has restored many reputable vehicles of his own, including a 1959 Ford Pop and a 1949 Plymouth Coupe, alongside many customer rebuilds and modifications.
Jan Dunford
Jan has been with CCE since the very beginning, alongside Nige, and manages the day to day business operation. Jan arranges the workshop diary, bookings and quotes, as well as all customer communications.
Jan ensures that CCE is fully compliant with all business, health & safety, and regulatory requirements.
Like Nige, Jan shares a passion for hot rod and custom vehicles, and when away from the business can be seen in her 1965 Plymouth Belvedere.
Andrew Waghorn
Andrew started with CCE on a two-year apprenticeship studying through Southampton City College, which he successfully completed with the benefit of Nige’s wealth of knowledge.
Andrew is an established qualified member of the team and helps CCE provide a great experience. Away from work Andrew can be found at motoring events, from steam to modern day.
